Mr. Bednar

Mr. Bednar, School Counselor, at Pleasanton Public Schools, has created this site to summarize the distance learning / video conference events scheduled for students. It is his goal that each Pleasanton student experience a distance learning event, which enhances the curriculum. If you have suggestions or comments regarding these events, do not hesitate to e-mail him at bbednar@esu10.org. His Skype name is BobBednar.

Bob Bednar, School Counselor, Pleasanton Public Schools: “I am the k-12 school counselor at Pleasanton Public Schools, Pleasanton, Nebraska. I also teach: a psychology / sociology course via distance learning to other area schools; a health careers class via distance learning to other schools; a career education / economics course to Pleasanton tenth graders; and a nine week PEER course to Pleasanton junior high students. My wife, Sandy, and I have three married sons and four grandchildren.

Some of my assignments and activities for my classes are also posted on wordpress, including psychology and economics. Our distance learning video conference events with student comments, a description of school counseling at Pleasanton, and available scholarships are also posted on wordpress.
Some of my favorite quotes:

“Everyone is at peace about somethings but few have peace in general, and fewer still have peace that reaches their body and its automatic responses to such a depth that it does not live in a covert state of alarm. To be at peace with God and others is a great attainment and depends on graces far beyond ourselves as well as our own efforts. That is also true of being at peace with oneself.” – Dallas Willard

“Human history is no longer a human affair. It is Someone Else’s project. For the individual, we are not puppets. What is really going on is not what we are doing. Instead of being the main show, we are of significance only as a very important part of an immense struggle between immense forces of good and evil.” – Dallas Willard

“Second chances sometimes come on earth, but they are always limited in time and opportunity. Whether through death or final alienation or something else, the door always closes on second chances.” -Randy Alcorn
