Pleasanton School
Pleasanton Public Schools is a small k12 school district located in Pleasanton, Nebraska, in Central Nebraska along the South Loup River. It is the mission of Pleasanton Public Schools to prepare students for an ever changing global economy. School counseling can help any student set and achieve personal, social, academic or career goals. Helping a student achieve their objectives is a rewarding experience. Providing the resources needed means the school counselor is always learning along with the students.
Pleasanton is located in Buffalo County. Nebraska’s agricultural economy dramatically effects our area. There are several efforts to diversify the economy, bring in new businesses, and encourage greater tourism opportunities. The Great Platte River Memorial Archway, Nebraska Fire Fighters Museum, Fort Kearny Historical Sight, Storm Hockey Team, Sandhill Cranes, University of Nebraska Kearney, and many ag related events (such as the Cattlemen’s Classic) bring individuals and families to visit our area.

It was fun to learn about the Iditarod. One of the things about the dogs is that they eat 12,000 calories a day. They need to take rest stops a lot during the race. I think it would be fun to race but the cold would be miserable.
